Libby Floyd Davis

Libby Floyd Davis learned to love Arizona wines initially through the vineyards of LDV Winery in Pearce, Arizona. She had the opportunity to visit LDV Winery on several weekends and made a few attempts at being helpful in the vineyards. Tasting the LDV wines was, of course, her favorite part of the trips, and Libby quickly became enthralled with the taste of Arizona.

She discovered that turning “water into wine” was not as easy as it might appear. After visiting several vineyards in Arizona, she noticed that the one cord that tied everyone together was the commitment and passion of the people involved in the making of fine wine. Not just the owners, but the vineyard staff and fellow wine enthusiasts who are happy to pitch in where they’re needed.

A professional typist, Davis describes her job as “making other people look great.” Keeping communication through documents professional, respectful, and accurate is always her goal. She admits that finding errors in documents is easily done in “other people’s work” and feels that proofreading AZ Uncorked has been a labor of love. “It has been exciting to immerse myself in the virtual vines and aid in the fruition of a beautiful representation of what is being produced in the wines of Arizona.”
