A former New York City book editor and high school English teacher, Laura has worked since 2005 with at-risk youth through drama and art and as an editor, collaborating with writers and photographers to hone novels, theses, scientific papers, children’s books, poetry, travelogues and non-fiction books of all kinds. She holds a BA in English from Binghamton University, an MA in the same discipline from Queens College and is currently completing an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University to be better equipped to help young people who are going through a rough time. Laura is thrilled to spend her days with youths of all ages as a counselor and program director, and with the written word, effecting change one kid (and one apostrophe) at a time. She is no stranger to a glass of chilled Chardonnay or a rich Cabernet Sauvignon, and she looks forward to trying some of the eclectic and delicious varieties of Arizona wine. Laura and her husband are the proud parents of a blended family of six beautiful, grown children (two of whom are University of Arizona graduates—Bear Down!!!), two grandchildren, and a fluffy white dog named Zuzu.
